Possible neighbor bonus without need of fuel in generators

Post by erkki772 »

To see what bonus setup can give without feeding them fuel. This would help building nuclear and fusion power

I am not sure how useful it would be to show "200 MW (+400% neighbour bonus)" for a reactor completely surrounded, thus needing manual fuel feeding. I feel like it could be misleading.

If you need manually load any power source, automate it. But possible power wouldn't lie. That top output shows your output what you generate vs what you could. Trying to troubleshoot fusion generators where power fluctuate much and checking if you actually got that neighbor bonus right, this possible output can help with it. Helping to build correct engine count

Because the fluctuating and fractional power bonus, it's not immediately obvious that each neighboring fusion generator gives +100% max bonus. It would be useful to have.

And the interaction between automatic down-scaling and load-based neighbor bonus is awkward. I managed to get max bonus on Aquilo with a power switch system and a huge field of legendary accumulators, but that's nowhere as neat as nuclear where a small block of heat pipes or storage tanks are enough to store the excess energy.
