Seperate Payment?(Multiplayer + Switch question)

Hi, I have a question about the cross-platform multiplayer between PC and Switch. Do I need to buy Factorio separately on the Switch to play multiplayer(LAN) with PC? Or can I link my steam account or something?

The Nintendo Switch version of the game requires a separate purchase through the Nintendo Store; it is not available on Steam, the Factorio.com website, or as a Physical Game Cartridge.

Multiplayer between Switch and “PC” builds should Just Work, assuming the same Game Version (Switch takes longer for Stable updates), and there are no Mods (including the Space Age expansion) active on the Server.
