I found this bug in a multiplayer session when someone pasted in a starter base blueprint rotated 90 degrees.
Attached is a save file post-paste post-build. Some things I noticed:
- Furnace works fine
- If you have a furnace in your hand and try to build on top of a normal furnace, it won't say anything, but for a rotated furnace "Furnace is in the way" will pop up
Reproducible if you load the save, take the bot rush blueprint from "Game blueprints" then spam super-force-build it at the same location two to three times on top of where it was built in the save file - the ghost furnace will have a rotated box.
Log file during the multiplayer session is also attached.

Thank you for the report, however, I am a bit confused by your steps. Tinkering around, I ran across this behaviour:
Manually placing stone furnace over existing stone furnace (does not show)/(shows) depending on the cursor rotation (which it shouldn't). Does that cover your case as well?

Sorry for the confusing steps, I forgot that I had to enable editor mode to reproduce this by myself: I'm not sure whether this invalidates the bug report itself... For the actual bug, I unfortunately do not know how the other player originally placed down the blueprint to get it to be rotated like that in the first place.Lou wrote: Tue Jan 28, 2025 2:24 pm Thank you for the report, however, I am a bit confused by your steps.
I believe it's at least related, I can also see the same behaviour as you saw, not just on furnaces but on other machines as well (assembling machines, furnaces, ect). Confusingly the furnaces still don't have a rotated bounding box when placed this way.Lou wrote: Tue Jan 28, 2025 2:24 pm Tinkering around, I ran across this behaviour:

Hi, someone in that multiplayer server's Discord said they could reproduce it by
- placing a furnace
- copying it
- pressing R once
- super-force-build it on top of itself
I can reproduce it myself with the same steps:
