Not a computer guy, don't know if I'm doing this right, so bear with me.

I think I narrowed it down to crashing during blueprint spaceship building, but I don't have a clue to be honest. You can try replicating by either manually saving (esc, click save and name the file, confirm) or an autosave when a spaceship build from a blueprint is in the process of being built.

Very frustrating, but since it's the only problem I've run into in 1000 hours of playing this excellent game, I'm lenient.

Any help will be greatly appreciated. Will scan the forums to see if others are having similar issues. Thanks in advance.

Alright, so I see others have had this problem, and I've seen "it's been fixed in .25" So I'm going to experimental build .25 and will report back.

Well, I figured out how to get .25 to work, and it no longer crashes during spaceship building from a BP.
