Minor inaccuracies: Fast inserter research tooltip and more

Post by Iridium »

These are very minor "bugs".

1: Fast inserter research still has the outdated description "Unlocks faster inserters and inserters capable of filtering"

2: When you launch a rocket and get inside, the mouse can still hover over items (on ground) in space and see their descriptions. An easy way to replicate this is to place a rocket below a large base, then enter it. You should see entities still appear on the mouse tooltip when you are descending into the space cargo landing pad.

Yes, the tooltips appear if you put your mouse cursor over something.

Move your mouse to somewhere else, like the edge of the screen or some of the blank space in the Quickbar.

This still happens when you are in space (black 'out of map'), which I assume is a bug.

The Cargo Pod transition process involves drawing a set of "cover-graphic" Layers across the Screen to provide a visual Transition, hiding the instantaneous "Surface Swap" that occurs mid-way through flight. That's it, there's no magic to hide Tooltips or prevent mouse interaction. Your character is just "magically moved" along a predefined Curve in X-Y space, to fake movement through Z space (which does not exist in the game engine).
