When researc ends, I'm thrown out of whatever window I'm in

A few 0.1 versions ago, the game got changed so that whenever a research project finishes, whatever window I'm currently interacting with, e.g. a Chest or an Assembler Machine, is violently closed.

That's disruptive and needs to be stopped. Research really needs to sit over ther, in its corner, quietly, until we players are good and ready to deal with it.

I guess that got changed because many people forgot to schedule a new research because they just clicked it away when they were about to do something... and it sat there in its corner, quietly until the players realized "Damn! Wasted 2 hours without research!", so now it is forced into their faces.

But I know what you mean. It could be done more subtle, less disruptive.

If I'm reading it correctly, Peter is complaining that when a research is completed, it closes any UI that is open. Which is annoying.

I think this is more a bug report than a new idea. This sounds like something that was left over from the old way research was done, closing all UI and popping up the tech screen. They removed the popping up of the tech screen bit, but maybe they forgot to remove the closing all UI bit as well.

Yeah, it can be seen bug, even if it is really at the corner... But it annoys me, too, cause nearly the same happens also, when the game saves.
