[2.0.23] Space platform logistic priorities don't work

Post by jouki »

Hi,
this is a bit delicate to describe but it seems that there's a bug with logistic priorities between the spaceship (space platform) and cargo landing pad.

What did you do & What happened?
  1. I have this "Vulcanus HUB" logistic group, all items have set import from Vulcanus. Both the spaceship and landing pad have this group as an active request.
(The landing pad we are talking about is on Nauvis)

  2. Since it's the import from Vulcanus it loads the foundries. Everything as expected.
  3. I also have "Maintenance" group that is only active on the spaceship. This group also lists foundry (20) but the import is set from Nauvis.

  4. Currently we have (as per the first image) 400 out of 500 requested foundries in the landing pad.
  5. The issue is when the spaceship arrives at Nauvis orbit it should drop the foundries as the request in the landing pad on Nauvis is to have 500 of them.
  6. As per the second screenshot the request from Vulcanus HUB group is greyed out, hence the request is not active (it doesn't hold foundries on spaceship). The request that has the import from Nauvis is only to 20 and as can be seen in the second screenshot there is 500/20.
  7. Even though there is a "minimum" request without cap on Nauvis there's still a request in the landing pad that is not fulfilled - in other words, the landing pad should have higher priority if the request is set.

What did you expect to happen instead?
Expected outcome: In such setting, the spaceship should drop necessary foundries in order to fulfil the request in the landing pad, being 100 in this case (but not send under the amount of foundries that are requested with import from Nauvis - 20)
Actual outcome: The spaceship keeps all 500 foundries, even though the landing pad has a request for 500 and currently has only 400. Due to having the import request from Nauvis the excess of foundries are not sent from the spaceship even though they are requested by the landing pad.

Does it happen always, once, or sometimes?
Always

Is it bad ?
Since it prevents automated restocking I personally find it pretty bad (even though it doesn't crash the game)

Thanks for the report. This is how it works at the moment. Having an active requests for foundries from Nauvis prevents it from taking the items. You could set a maximum amount to your request which would drop foundries even if Nauvis has enough, so it's not exactly what you want. Feel free to make a feature request in Ideas and Suggestions.

Hi, isn't it confusing, the Nauvis landing pad says the Satisfaction 400/500 while Logistic storage (img 1) says 540 and the request on the space platform is (only) having at least 20? It's quite misleading that a Nauvis import request prevents prevents to fulfilling the request in the landing pad.
I wouldn't say a word if the Nauvis landing pad didn't have the request from "Vulcanus HUB" logistic group

Yes - that's now the reason why we have almost 5 000 foundries on Navuis

(I'll copy the original comment to the Suggestion post)
