[2.0.15] Robot routing end in loop

Post by Tomag »

As in title, robots fly direct route which result to an endless loop without reaching target.

As shown in the picture I build a chain of roboports for start at Aquilo, with some heating buildings and requierement boxes for fuel.
Logistic robots should fill it, which works mostly fine, but with higher vertical level robots go in loop, instead of search for an alternate way.

Perhaps its a bad idea to use normal robots and bots in general at Aquilo (I noticed the x5 energy consumption), but as shown at FFF they should be able to handle that, I thought? At the moment it is just a matter of time until the upper roboports get frozen, if I stop feed it manually or expand the network.

I think the reason for this behaviour is the fact that they have to move down at first to reach horizontal roboport line.
What I don´t understand or think its a bug, is that the most targets get reached, it looks like only higher angles as 20-25° (from looping roboport base on) are a problem...
But when they can´t handle such a simple step, how should it work with more crazy designs?

By the way, I love the DLC, dam good work from you!
With so much possibilites it will be easy to sink another 6k hours (or much more) into the game

Thanks for the report, this is a duplicate of 118933. The solution in the FFF did not consider 5x robot energy usage, so robots don't fly far enough from the roboport to trigger the global search for a roboport closer to target.
