Re: Preserve blueprint parameters when pasting
I agree with this. Changing parameterized blueprints is a pain because every time you cut and paste a section while moving it around, you get a popup asking you for the parameters.
A simple fix is to not prompt the user for any parameters for blueprints when pasting and just set the same parameter values. Only prompt when putting down an actual blueprint. This would fix the issue.

I’m not sure if there’s a “simple” solution to this. However, it is a pita to update blueprints with lots of parameters and my play style would greatly improve if previously set parameters and formulas were somehow kept

Re: Preserve blueprint parameters when pasting
There is a workaround that has helped me a lot that I figured out after posting my previous comment. Hopefully this helps others as well.
When pasting, if you get a popup with several parameters like param 1, param 2 etc., just hit the checkbox/ok without filling anything in and all the parameters will be kept. Unfortunately this doesn't work if you get a popup (usually for parameter 0) which takes you to the select item screen with the tabs. In this case you have to pick one. I think the difference is that if it's a root parameter and you probably only have one root parameter in the section copied, it shows you the item selection, otherwise if the items are ingredients of the root parameter it will show you the list.
This trick has saved me a lot of hassle and hope it will do the same for others.
We still need a proper fix though that I suggested in my previous post of just not prompting the user when pasting. Alternatively you can add another key to hold down while pasting to enable this behaviour like you do for force build but if you do it this way please make a toggle setting to select which way it will behave without the modifier key held down.
