with now having a lot of different surfaces, some places set off alerts quite a bit, despite being basically ignorable. but some places hearing the alert is still good information to have, just in case you arent paying much attention to the blinking notifications. i propose a per-surface mute button, be it planet or platform, to reduce in the amount of worthless notifications that would be immediately resolved without player input or issue, without needing to disable the alert sound for all alerts globally.

What I'd like even more than this is a way to mask alerts (and configure that mask, ideally per-planet). In other words, a way that would let me silence an alert for certain things being killed.

I've lost ~10K gun turrets, ~8K fast inserters, ~4K electric poles, ~1.4K belts and ~0.8k construction bots. I do not need to hear alerts for any of these, but I'd still like to know if anything else gets killed.
