[2.0.15] 25 items stack on one belt, no mods (minor)

Post by hairintd »

I was playing with belt, switching it direction several time and modifying parts, then at some point i found this stack of 25 explosives on single piece of it. Probably appeared from underground part.
Tried to reproduce this, but no luck yet.
Also lost exact log-file when this happens, attached log from this save loaded (version is the same, 2.0.15)

Ok, i found the way to reproduce it.
  • You need one full-length underground blue belt full of items.
  • Then you need to add same belt right after first part, but with 1 length total.
  • Then rotate this short belt.
  • Add couple of blue belts right on entrance of new one.
  • Throw same cargo items on belt just added: you will see stack appears from underground and moves to then start of belt against it movement.
Hope this video make it more clear: https://drive.google.com/file/d/1OyAY3l ... sp=sharing
Attached save of scenario and new log (nothing suspicious there though)

At first this looked more like an artifact from the transport line deserialiser failure when transport belts were inconsistent (we had couple of those issues around undergrounds) where i was going to say i am not considering this to be broken, but since you have a reproduction steps that involve rotating underground belts i am going to say i am still not considering this to be broken. There are certain cases where rotating transport belts can also squash items and in some cases this is a natural (yet temporary) state of things that fixes itself when you let the items move.
