Arrows pointing to pins can overlap important things, like current research:
the number of items in the bottom quickbar:
and so on.
Also, having many of them at once clutters up the game view.
If an intended purpose of these pins is to remind us to do something later, then players might want to see the information under them between now and whenever we get around to handling the pinned situation. Having them in the map view is sufficient for this.
The on-screen arrows are still convenient for navigating our vehicles to pinned locations, so I suggest adding an arrow view toggle button to the GUI view:
I also suggest leaving it off by default, or have off by default as an Interface Settings option.
