Quality bonuses

I'd like to say right off the bat that I just fell in love with the “quality” mechanics. But there is one big BUT. Most perks seem useless, especially considering how hard it is to make legendary quality items.
Conveyors, for example, only gain health, Trains too. The mines are just saving the deposit. Etc. Essentially quality turns out to be an almost useless mechanic in so many cases.
I would like to see the quality of the items affect the really important functions, the basic ones so to speak. I'd like trains to run faster, mines to produce more resources, lasers to do more damage, conveyors to transport items faster, etc.
I don't think it will upset the balance, since you can really use this mechanic in a late game.

Rare Electric mining drills granting 33% more resources per patch, stacking multiplicatively with Productivity, is useless.
Imagine...
If it's not viablebfor your playstyle - it's not necessarily useless.
Laser turrets could use damage boost tho...
