Rail missalignment for connecting parallel rail-segments

Post by cool_AND_good »

Hi,
there is a weird behaviour of "new" rails when trying to snap from a straight rail to another straight rail in the next possible row in the least possible space, basically the third offset row does not align the same way any other does.
  • Here the first segment is a straight rail which is snapped to the next row of straight rail in the least possible space. (the first and last segments are straight rail segments)

  • Now if the straight rails are placed in equal steps, the connection is not possible.

  • If the end straight rail segment is replaced by a turn, the missalignment becomes more obvious.

(Since the turn is misaligned so much and any other row works fine, I do not think this is intended.)

Thanks for the report.
I would say Not a bug, because nowhere it say that it should be possible to do what you want to do.
This seems to me as if I looked at sequence 1 2 3 4 5 and said 4 looks like a bug, because it is not divisible only by 1 and itself.
