[2.0.8] Mouse Button 5 does not allow item pickup

What did you do?
I changed the controls hotkey for "Pick up items from the ground" to "Mouse Button 5" by clicking in the field with my mouse button 5.

What happened?
When walking over items on the ground and holding mouse button 5, they are not picked up.

What did you expect to happen instead?
I expected the items to be picked up.

Does it happen always, once, or sometimes?
It always happens.

Some other notes:
1. I am using a Logitech MX Master 3S with the Logi Options+ software. All mouse buttons are set to their default configurations.
2. I tested my mouse on https://www.onlinemictest.com/mouse-test/ and all buttons register, and in the correct locations.
3. I tested other buttons in Factorio, and left click, right click, and middle click all work as expected for "Pick up items from the ground"
4. If I re-map my mouse button 5 to "middle click" using Logi Options+, then press Mouse Button 5 in the Factorio controls settings, it shows "middle click". Then if I hold mouse button 5 on my mouse and walk over items, picking up items works as intended, so I do not suspect a hardware issue with my mouse at this point.
5. If I revert the mouse button settings in step 4, and choose "Shift+Mouse Button 5" as the hotkey for picking up items, then picking up items works as intended.
