[1.1.109] Trains not connecting to their stations circuit network on drive-through

Post by danischu »

I want to read contents of trains passing trough a section of rail by setting up a station with the option to read train content ticked.
I can force trains to pass trough that section of rail by adding that station to the trains schedule.
I can keep the information of the trains item content in a memory cell of combinators.

Without any hold conditions the train will drive through to the next stop.
The train passes trough the station but the combinator does not count the items.

I did expect a 1-tick long connection that allows the station to read the passing trains content and add that to my memory cell.
Though I would'nt have expected for trains without that station in their schedule to interact with the circuit network either.

The issue occurs every time when a train does not hold and affects reading train content, reading train id and sending a signal to a train.

Sending a signal to a train without hold condition is important for mods like signalized couplers.
With a 1-tick connection i would expect to be able to send an uncouple signal to a rolling train and have locomotive(s) and wagon(s) depart in different directions.

I attached a small save-file to showcase. If the train is started it will loop trough both stations one time passing through and one time holding at each station to interact with the circuit network.

Thanks for the report however that is not a bug.
