Mod Browser: Trim whitespace when searching for mod name

Post by Xeno Lupus »

TL;DR
Trim leading or following white spaces in the mod name when searching for mods in the ingame mod browser.
What ?
After searching on the mod page for a new mod, copying the mod name from the pc browser and pasting it into the ingame mod browser also copies some leading and following white spaces. This prevents the user from immediately finding the mod. He has to manually delete the leading and following white space before he can find the mod he wants to install. This is especially annoying with longer mod names, where the user has to scroll in the search bar.
Reprosteps
1. Open a mod in the pc-browser (e.g. firefox)
2. Position you mouse cursor on the right side of the mod name (the one above the author name (by xxxx))
3. mouse down
4. drag the mouse over the mod name to the left side until the whole mod name is selected
5. mouse up
6. ctrl+c (copy the mod name)
7. switch to factorio
8. open the mod browser
9. select the install tab
10. select the search bar
11. ctrl+v (paste the mod name)
> the mod name gets pasted with leading and following white spaces
Suggestion
When searching for matching mods, the leading and following white space in the search bar are ignored.
