Just to be clear at the beggining, I 100% support the rule to never go on sale.
I was in a mood to buy something on steam halloween sales for my little child. I came across a zoo management game on a huge sale, but found out that it has ridiculous amount of DLCs so in the end I would pay nonsense for the full game.
This made me remember how I love factorio no-sales policy. I love the idea that the product has its price you can clearly see from the begginging and it doesn't magically change.
Next tought I had was that I really want to buy something from Wube
So the reason for this thread is my idea of making fun/special offers which wouldn't change gameplay or even some real live things.
Some examples I had in mind:
- A deep in game tutorial for combinators and logic gates. Similar to rail signals topic in tips and tricks. Maybe even paid educational game scenario with this theme.
- Themed season graphics pack with christmas trees, spitters shooting present boxes or little elves instead of inserters.
- Big mouse pad with factorio theme.
- Some limited seasonal merch?
