Is it somehow possible to create a version of the offshore pump which requires electricity to work? The "OffshorePump" prototype doesn't seem to have attributes like "energy_source" or "energy_usage".
Alternatively, is it possible to create a version of the mining drill which can be places anywhere?

Re: Powered offshore pump
No. You could fake it with composite entities and scripting, but that is difficult, fiddly, prone to being broken by other mods, and requires a scripting overhead. See the mod AAI Industry for an example of an offshore pump that has a scripted composite entity burner energy source.astral-entity wrote: Mon Sep 11, 2023 5:12 pm Is it somehow possible to create a version of the offshore pump which requires electricity to work? No, but you can have an assembling machine locked to a recipe which has no ingredients, so it just churns out items or fluids constantly.Alternatively, is it possible to create a version of the mining drill which can be places anywhere?

You may get some inspiration from the

A good mod deserves a good changelog. Here's a tutorial (WIP) about Factorio's way too strict changelog syntax!
