I need to change the username of my newly created Factorio account

I need to change the username of my newly created Factorio account

So to join my friend's server, I had to create an account. I didn't realize that it wasn't using my Steam username to create my Factorio account, so I ended up putting the server address into the username field. I hit enter and was confused to see it was still asking for the server address. So now my username has been set to match the server address of our game. The profile online says that I can only change my username once every 3 months. Is there really no way around this for a newly created account? This is pretty stupid.

Any help would be appreciated.

Contact support@factorio.com, explain the situation and include all the account details.
