Factorio Crashes on Launch (Windows/Steam)

I'm experiencing a crash on launch when I try to run Factorio under Steam. My system is Windows 11 Pro on a Surface Book 2, Core i7-8650U, 16 GB RAM, GeForce GTX 1060 dGPU. Factorio previously ran fine on my system for years. There are no mods installed and the crash occurs well before a save is loaded (effectively instant).

From the stack trace in the attached log it looks like the crash occurs in a Windows Defender dll, but Windows Defender does not report any recent protective action (and I have to imagine its intended behavior is cleaner anyway!)

Restart your system and if that does not work reinstall your graphics driver. If it still crashes post a new log.
