I was told to submit this as a bug, apparently 9e+698 grenades is too much

A cluster grenade that quickly wipes the entire surface? Nice!
I made some modded capsules with somewhat similar effects that haven't been released yet. Mine didn't go outside the generated chunks (mostly) and did it in a slower burn that didn't try to explode on the entire surface at once though. So while it grew exponentially it only did so locally around the enemies so it stopped when they died and so doesn't crash the game.
On topic though: I don't think it's a Factorio bug that Factorio crashed, unless you have more than 1e+700 bits of RAM and the super secret 700bit version of the build...
