I have generally read through the content of this thread.
Simply put, the research UI remains outdated, despite Space Age's increased research options.

My save is endgame stage, researching research prod 77.
At this stage, you would be tempted to switch research with or without Agri SP and with or without Promethium SP. Promethium SP is a UPS eater, so you want to keep production low, and prod research in and of itself does not produce anything of value.

I know you said you already have solutions with mods, but there is a waste problem with part of prod bonus bar of research, which has been pointed out once in this thread.
This would have to be official to be addressed.
Since the amount of research is currently floating rather than integer, should the amount of research be increased immediately rather than proceeding with a prod bar?



Also, while off topic, it is easy to do a lot of research on Mining. It is maddening to manually add thousands or tens of thousands of times to queues.
In 1.1, I used the Ultimate Research Queue mod.
