Hey guys

I need graphics for 6 wagons, wagon active, wagon pasive, wagon storage, wagon requester, wagon laser turret and wagon gun turret.

Actually I use that images

And I need other 6: with item (logistic chest or turret).
  • Logistics chest: I need in the back contain a logistic chest (4)
  • Wagon turret: I need in the back (half wagon) with nothing for put a turret (dont need texture for turrets i put it on code) (2)
Colors or model do not care

i wanted for a long time makeing some train-stuff but never had a good reason.

so here my suggestions

blank as construction-base - 150% ingame-size - i personal prefer the shorter ones to add more difference into the game

short army-wagon ... with my gun-turrets looks working, needs tested with ingame-turrets - and it's space to run cables for laser-turret

short-chest-wagon - i can't decide which one looks better, needs a ingame-verification - and mybe should the cargo-bay higher

it looks so good!!

I like the standard size with color wood.
And the wagons, if you can and you have time could you do both (black and white) with details in various colors for future projects? (apart from red, yellow, purple and blue) I.E. green, orange... etc

first picture first wagon is 10x3 tiles = vanilla wagon
all others are 7x3 tiles = shorter version
10v needs 3 shutter instead. (black/white) - long/short versions ?
flatbed for gun-wagon as long/short or reinforced ?

i need to ask before i make the renderings, each version contains 128 pics, so i do not want a mistake.
(i post later a ingame-view for size-comparsion and how it looks)

i was wrong with the size ... orginal 7x2 ... so i switched to this

i suggest you use Sitches in compat-mode to get 4x4 or 8x8 sheets and combine them later to what you want. should be working because all single-frames in 256x256.

for testing Weapon.zipCWhiteRed.zipCBlackYellow.zip - you need to make sheets with stitches or better program.

so i made it ...

standard-cargo, robo-wagon, laser-wagon

also i love the wagons too much, so i render a bigger image to make a wallpaper for me.
here is a clean variant, so you can make your wallpaper (click for big)

Now only thing we need is native support for roboport wagon and turret wagon so we don't need fake objects placed around :D

i have a question ^^
because ingame-locomotives runs on coal - and i don't like the original locomotive i attempt to make a new one. would you include this locomotive in your mod ?
(i also plan a adequate diesel- and electro- locomotive - but more older and american style )

rusty and clean looks like

Factorio dont allow it, And yes, when you give me images i use http://draeton.github.io/stitches/ for make 8 spritesheet 4x4 = 128 images
And the locomotive is sooo cool, i like it, i add on my mod, for sure ^^

But i cant add on factorio :/

I think is better cover half wheels and a i need both locomotive, rusty for coal locomotive and clean for electric locomotive.

i have a better electric locomotive in my opinion, but still need some work.

I'm no expert (as will be made clear :) ), but I've wanted to model the steam piston wheel assembly from old locomotives for some time. Some things that I think will help your model:
- The eccentric rod should only have one pivot other than it's attachment to the wheel and should be attached to the wheel at 90 degrees from the piston attachment - correction: my sketch oversimplified this - http://trumpetb.net/loco/rodsr.html - its still attached at 90 degrees (and phased at 90 degrees, not 180) but the eccentric rod needs to account for the vertical translation to the valve box - nevermind, carry on
- the tie rod should be connected directly to the piston wheel attachment (no reason to transfer all that stress through the first wheel)
- the piston assembly should have a guide. Otherwise, the cylinder would need to keep the piston rod from shifting vertically at it's first pivot which would cause a huge maintenance issue.

I don't have anything for the reversing rod or shifting mechanism, but those are detail items that would be hard to see at this scale anyhow.

I think rusty is predominant for Factorio.
