If ytou're talking about 'endless resources' then, although it's marked for 0.11.1, it works just fine in 0.11.3. (I've been using it with no problems.)

So I updated my version of the game like some people asked, and still getting the problem.

EDIT : Redownloaded, and it seems that the file was corrupted during download.

Apparently when 5dim overwrites logistic 3 research, it causes the compression chest and power pole to be lost. Is there any way to get other mods to add to existing research instead of overwritting?

Yes, see how Compression Chests adds the unlocks to logistic 3 - it doesn't overwrite the entire research as 5dim does. 5dim would need to change his mod to adjust the research instead of completely re-defining it to fix the issue.

Updated to 1.3.6:

Fixed loading saves that had mod items compressed (after the mod was removed)

Only way to see total amount I found is to look into save file :D

Are you looking for a chest that you can move around contents and all? Because I have that :P just haven't released it yet.
I think he wants the overall logistics setup that AE provided: Ability to build an expandable digital storage network capable of storing loads of items.

The current Logistics Robots already do something similar. The only thing missing is a main terminal that can access all of the chests in the network.

My Compression Power Poles are not receiving power despite being right next to a power pole, they worked fine in previous versions

This is due to the changes made in 0.12 with accumulators. The power pole is its self an accumulator so if you don't have enough power to charge all of your accumulators it ends up not getting power either.

You can optionally turn off the power requirement in the control.lua file at the top (set it to 0).

Do I understand this correctly:
If I'm using solar and accumulators then during the night when accumulators are unloading compression chests will not be getting energy?
And they will get energy again when all accumulators are loaded during the day?

Edit:
I tried to use the compression chest - compression pole won't charge. It won't consume energy from secondary or terciary steam engines. There are no other accumulators nor solar power in the base.
Only way I found to charge it is to connect it to solar panel on completely separate circuit - then it will start charging.

I know in the past that using compression chests with bobs mods and 5dim mods in the same world I would have to save and close and reopen the save to get the compression chests to show up because someone overwrites the tech for them. But with a new world started on 0.12, I do not get the chests or power poles, even after completely closing and reopening factorio. I have tried to give myself both items via the console, and i get no items added to my inventory, but no error from the console either. Is there a known work-a-round for this issue?

I've been using compression chests with bobs and DyTech without problems.
You'd need to look into 5dim then or post something on their forums if you can't get those two to work.

Might help leaving only 5dim and compression chests and checking.

Try to run those two commands in your save first:

After those two commands, I can now give myself the items, but they still do not show up in any crafting screen.

I am not sure when I will have more time to test with just 5dim and CC, but i will try that in the future.

I noticed the compression power pole refuses to be included in a blueprint (it simply doesn't get the green highlight when dragging a blueprint over it). Is this intentional? Because I don't think I've seen it mentioned anywhere in the thread.

Expanding on my previous report, perhaps unsurprisingly a deconstruction planner also ignores the power poles. The deconstruction planner does work on the compression chest though, but that doesn't go so well (the console reports the 'can't remove it through robot or script' message, then the notice pops up):
