The wiki is segmented a lot compared to other game wiki's I've seen (minecraft and dwarf fortress mostly).
I mean there is a 1 line article for train repair.
This IMO would be better in a single article named Train Tips and Tricks where things like a supply train bringing repair packs and spare materials around the outposts.
Such a page would definitely be helpful when wire network allows for more control of the trains

It's a wiki. You can change it.
Cool suggestion: Eatable MOUSE-pointers.

Honestly, my bible as for a wiki organization is the Terraria Wiki. I can't imagine how a game wiki could have a better organization.

@ratchetfreak:That's not, how a wiki works. In a wiki, when there is no concensus.
@Koub: Wow.
But the problem is - I guess here - that Terraria is not so complex.

Terraria is very rich in content but not concepts.ssilk wrote:@ratchetfreak:That's not, how a wiki works. In a wiki, when there is no concensus.

It's good to have a standardized 'formula' for how to write articles- I'm inclined to say we should stack everything with small amounts of content or based entirely on opinion into the main article it belongs in, where some more content rich articles deserve their own pages- for example, you don't put electric drills under the electricity page but you do put a page about tips and tricks for trains in the trains main article.
Re: Too much splitting?
We already know that this is one of the major problems in current wiki state. We also have an idea of how this can be at least reduced. The problem in the end is that somebody has to do it.
If you look at the item pages, they all have same structure.
For all the concepts and more complex themes we want to structure the parts into beginner/advanced/expert knowledge. Attaching some single line hints section at the end should be no problem then.
but maybe you know, merging articles is almost same effort than writing it completely new.
We will care about this soon.
