Weird Error At Startup

So I heard about this game and it really piqued my interest, but I can't play the demo. Every time I try, I get this error.
"Content Title
Sprite "C:/Factorio\data\base/graphics/entity/basic-mining-drill/east.png couldn't be loaded"
After digging around in the .lua files, I found if I deleted the "__" before and after "base" in the filename, I could fix that problem. However, I cannot fix the problem with the core graphics, which gives me the same message. It seems to be looking for its files in a completely wrong way, as anyone with any skill with a computer can see. I have no idea how to fix this, can anyone help?
