Taming
This is just an idea how about instead of killing the creatures that are on the plant we taming them and train them to kill the ones that want to a destroy us.
Re: Taming
Have a look at the Alien Evolution mod.

Re: Taming
The subject is ok, but the implementation of this draft is a bit lacking , because we already have some suggestions, which goes into that direction (and as Takezu mentioned a mod). If you want to do something, you can search for the right threads.
I promise to begin with the whole Drafts-Area next week.

Re: Taming
Why limit ourselves with warfare? Tamed creatures can also be domesticated and butchered, trained to spin a dynamo, or even trained to asseble simple machine components like iron gears. Hooray for the
slavery
clean industry!Black blood of the factory
Re: Taming
I miss the substance (links to other threads etc.) to have that under concept. Moved from concepts to suggestions.

Re: Taming
Why taming?
They are smarter than that (I think )
Maybe we can ally them?
Like there is a happiness bar which increases by giving presents or entertainment
and deacreases by pollution reaching nests and killing biters.

In Factorio, we are actually the bad guys. We are attacking the biters on their own planet, destroying their homes. They are trying to stop us, but without succes...

It would be more interesting if they were intelligent...ratchetfreak wrote:just because they are the dominant species doesn't mean they are intelligentPTR2013 wrote:Why taming?

Players are forced to kill biters because the biters are enemies, thats all.
If we were able to choose if we fight or ally the biters, that would be awesome!

Re: Taming
Hm. That would make sense, but only for a MP game, with 2 parties.
