Introducing a new amusement park & zoo, Biter Park. Thanks to advances in genetic manipulation, a project has been launched to bring Biters into a closer relationship with humanity and giving us a closer look at them. Join us on this journey of construction, experimentation, and adventure. I'm taming a hostile world in order to bring you a fun & enjoyable experience getting to know these creatures up close.

Playlist: Biter Park
Intro: Mods & Info

While there will be a few rules we have to obey to satisfy our world development permits such as increasing tree populations & tougher security for visitors.

Should be a blast! Have a look & enjoy the show!

Mods:
Default Request Amount - Made by Martc. Changes default request amounts to 1.

Planet Fall

I've landed safely in zone 342-b. Chosen for abundant resources in close proximity as well as a mineral our companies exobiologists tell me is useful in creating bio constructs needed for the breeding of tame Biters. My initial supply crate made planet fall safely and I've begun work on Base Camp. The desert landing area will pose a challenge as the Biters in the area have been noted to be particularly sensitive and far more active in exploring their territory. Getting defense systems online & in place will be critical in securing a foothold for construction.

Iron on the Line

Got the iron flowing and the real work is starting. I'm setting up a north running main line that will use a left side production, right side processing. I've identified a near by candidate nest for testing Biter habitats off in the NE. Fairly large nest should provide me with ample testing. I will probably have to line the enclosure with a multitude of trees in order to hopefully eliminate agitation from pollution.

Securing the Camp

Biters have begun exploring the area & causing some damage. As they up their attacks, it's time to put up counter measures. The work must still go on though. I've gotten the copper line tied into the main work line & ready to really start pumping out construction materials. Certainly won't be working in peace any longer.

Into the Green

Opened up a new range of technologies to aide in the construction efforts. It almost feels like the Biters know why I'm here. Their attacks are relentless, but victory will be mine. The gents back home in the labs have gone over some test data and concluded that the alien ore is rich in organic materials. Their tests show so far that heating the material in a furnace produces bio constructs. They'll let me know when they are ready for the tests in producing alterations to the Biter's genetics. Hopefully they'll at least not find me edible.

They're onto Us

I was working on getting steel & brick production rolling when the Biters began finding the holes in the defenses. I have placed several more turret emplacements to ensure more solid protection. I will have to find as much stone as I can here soon. I'm going to need a lot of walls. So far I am the one in the cage.

Understanding the Biters

I spend some time studying the Biters, how the move & work together. I'm experimenting with different ways of reducing their ability to group up & focus fire on my defenses. I have a few ideas & strategies to minimize damage to base property. I'm excited to get progressing towards my goals of making the Biters the ones in the cages. This desert is bad for hiding my presence, but the space it affords me is quite valuable. Once I get the logistics networks up & rolling construction will begin. I have some ideas for using FARL to build enclosures for Biters so they can be properly shown off.

The Oil Industry

Time to ramp the construction and bolster my defenses with laser turrets. Not much farther to go for logistic bots which will be one of the work horses of most of the construction.

Fire the Lasers

Got laser turrets up & producing. See how these Biters like the taste of photons. I know I like my Biters extra crispy. Closer to flipping the roles on this world.

Bots are in the Air

Things are getting serious as the bots begin to fly. Hope these bugs enjoy being free while they can.

Resource Monitoring Mod

I've decided to add in Resource Monitoring Mod to the tech list so I can keep track of my fields as the park grows. As the base camp grows, my ability to respond to the Biters becomes more lethal. It's been decided that all attractions will be held to the north of base camp & the factory will be built to the south.

Expanding Production

Production is expanding nicely, reaching a good a point for rapid expansion. Things are going to get a lot more interesting once the trains are running.

Finally .12 Ready

It took many hours, hunting mods, fixing problems, and reworking the base to get it back into shape. Power remains a huge problem, but considering the switch happened fairly early and I didn't lose any power sources. Laser turrets are power hungry these days. Once everything gets settled, we'll get back on track readying to build a base for creating enclosures for biters.
