[0.11.22] [cube] Large maps fail to upload

Title says it all.

I recorded an example of this behavior. Both clients have relatively stable connections.
Trying to download the map instead of uploading it to the other client results in my internet connection coming to a near complete stop.
My router's setting page also freezes up during a attempted download, near when the game informs you are losing connection to clients.

Any resolve on this? I'm having exactly the same issue on 11.22.
