Add more vehicles, and tweak existing ones

Add more vehicles, and tweak existing ones
Reduce the cargo capacity of the Car, then add a Truck, a larger vehicle (larger footprint) with maybe twice as much cargo capacity as the Car currently has, used for players who want to manually move large amounts of stuff. Also add a Motorbike, with tiny cargo capacity, but fast and low fuel usage, and make it so small (footprint) that it can easily drive through narrow passages.

Usage?
There is the big why. What does it bring for the gameplay?

Cool suggestion: Eatable MOUSE-pointers.

Re: Add more vehicles, and tweak existing ones
The Car remains as the mid-game combat vehicle, even with reduced capacity. The Truck becomes an alternative to Trains, buildable earlier in the game and able to move a large amount of cargo although of course it must all be done manually. The Motorbike is the vehicle to use to get around quickly, e.g. moving around inside your factory, and will see hours and hours of use before the player reaches Modular Armor with Exoskeleton (and even Exoskeleton is troublesome to use before Power Armor Mk1 is reached).ssilk wrote:Usage?

The car as combat vehicle?
I don'T know, feels like a Trabbi (Plasticcar) to me, nothin i would use against biters in any part of the game![Wink ;)](./images/smilies/icon_e_wink.gif)
And with the currenc drivingmechanics, i wouldn't even dare to drive anythin around in my base.
You wouldn't come far without crashing into something, the higer the speed the sooner the crash, with bigger damage.
The truck would possibly be useful for one thing, to lay down the tracks for the trains.
They not the hard to reach, shortly after you get the car you have almost acess to the train.
To lay the rails can be a bit tedious, but why would you drove around transporting stuff, if you could just lay a track
and let the train do its labor.

Peter, you have answered the what, but not the why. I (and I think most other player too) don't have a problem with it. You're are trying to solve a problem, that exists only for you.
And besides that: there is already a mod: the buldozer and the roadtrain, that I can really recommend.

Besides that, I think a motorbike, very fast, nearly no capacity, very fragile, could really be a good idea. But that could also be easily implemented as mod.
