No Crafting Option

I have recently viewed a you tube video about playing Factorio with no crafting. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=FTszEGC ... O2iFeo_WIp

As the video states, there are a few items you need to craft as there is no choice. But the list of required crafts is actually quite small. One thing is that it is hard to play this way. I've tried it and I keep crafting things accidentally. I think it would be nice to have a no crafting option at the map generator page. It would disallow any but the required crafting.

Another option would be to allow NO crafting but add something that gets the player past the start. Perhaps something called an emergency kit. You put in the required mats and it consumes itself and the mats to make the object, a steam generator for example.

The video is pretty good about explaining what are the required crafts.

It was designed to give you the ability to play the game without crafting (and to compell you so )

Thanks for the heads up. I have now found three mods that have no crafting as the idea. In my opinion, there seems to be enough interest to make an 'official' version. But I'll give the mods a try.
