the game crashes at startup and throws an error

the game crashes at startup and throws an error "failed to create display!" what to do ? please write in detail! RAM 4 gig, the normal processor Quad core, disk space a lot! it seems to me that this is all due to Windows reinstallation! most likely need to change the save customer data!

PC specs? Sounds like not enough video ram.

sorry this was all due to the fact that crooked I installed Windows 7 64 bit and drivers with DX9 were also installed crooked thank you all for your help!
