Is it possible to have multiple Energy Shield on your Armor? And when yes, is it better than one?

Yes, the only drawback is they drain a LOT of energy recharging. 3 depleted shields will use the entire output of a fusion reactor.

And you may want to have some batteries on you also so your exoskeletons don't stop when shields are charging.

Yup, and yup. However as others mentioned, it is a huge power drain so you want to make dang sure that you have enough fusion reactors and/or batteries to handle it plus any exoskeletons you may be using.
I can be the death of you if you are fighting biters, your shields depleted and then when they go to recharge it takes all the power for your exos too... Cause then your a sitting duck. :p
