Choose what to research. Let Rantz Research handle the rest.

Rantz Research automatically selects your next technology based on your preferred strategy, science packs, and research limits.
  • Six research strategies: Fast, Slow, Cheap, Expensive, Balanced, and Random.
  • Science pack controls: Set each pack to On, Off, or Dynamic.
  • Dynamic availability: Monitor a lab and research technologies using selected packs only while those packs are available. Ideal for intermittent agricultural or promethium science deliveries.
  • Whitelist and blacklist: Control which technologies automatic research can select.
  • Infinite research limits: Set a target level for individual technologies. Once reached, research pauses for that technology until you raise the limit.
  • Flexible settings: Allow research switching, restrict selection to queued research, or deprioritize infinite technologies.
  • Compact interface: Collapsible sections remember your preferences, with research lists sorted by strategy and unavailable technologies greyed out.
Controls
Open the interface with Shift+T (customizable).
Dynamic Mode
To use Dynamic mode, open a lab, expand its Rantz Research panel, and select Monitor this lab. One lab is monitored per force. Pack checks default to every 10 seconds, with a 60-second grace period before an empty pack becomes unavailable; both timings are configurable.
Translations

Includes English and Russian translations.
Requirements

But Why?
Long story short, I was trying to find a way to auto-select research using the new research system and combinators and realized....wait a minute....there has to be a mod that can do this. Turns out there is a bunch of auto-research queing mods, but they aren't smart enough to support max levels of infinite researches, and they can't dynamically swap based on what science is in a lab. I'd used "Auto Research" before, but it looks like there's now multiple versions of it that are all forks of the original, I couldn't tell which one was "right", so yeah, I just wrote my own.
