why does barley anyone play mutiplayer?

So for some reason when I make a server why does no one join welp you see a lot of people like singleplayer more now why I'm pretty sure its due to trolling and other stuff but now you know why

Naa it's fairly easy to get rid of troll you can just ban them from your game , it must be another reason, if you wrote some description making the same level of effort than in the title of this thread and in the post maybe people don't join because they think you are trolling yourself ? If really no-one joins it must be that your server isn't public, it can happen too.

I think most of the MP gaming is organized in specific sub-communities, particularly on the Discord servers for various mods and streamers.

Too easy to get lost when joining someone else's multiplayer server. It's difficult to keep track of what's happening when you don't know and actively talk to the people you're playing with.

That and you're unlikely to finish the game in a single sitting, but it's going to be impossible to coordinate with these random multiplayer people to continue on another day.

There's basically no reason to join a public server if your goal is to actually play multiplayer. For that, you really need to coordinate with people.

It's difficult to coordinate but it's part of the fun ! you can create your game and use steam to add people who joined with whom you get along to play other time

You can also favourite servers to find them again in the list so as to come back to the same if it's not your own game.

There are public server that are active all the time and reset every day or every week or every month, that's usually in the description, which also allows to play without necessarily coordinating outside the game, in more than 1 sitting

Many are community server i think too, sometimes they even have a public server and others with password for once you are verified member, you joined the discord, or other depending on the community. Joining the public server can often be the first step in this case.
