Steps to reproduce: Stand still near an assembler that is working continuously.
Actual behavior: The sound gets loud, quiet and almost silent, making it sound like the assembler keeps stopping and restarting.
Expected behavior: A uniform working sound at a fixed distance, as in previous versions.
I use the sound to tell whether assemblers are running, where they are and how far away they are. This no longer works reliably and forces me to check visually. The constant volume changes are also really uncomfortable to listen to.

Thanks for the report, however this is not a bug.

Re: [2.0.19] Assembler sound is no longer uniform
I came here looking for this. I enjoyed the roar of my factory for nearly 3500 hours already, but something was very off putting after the last update.
In my opinion the new assembler sounds are too loud compared to other sounds. Listening to this 'thumb' for multiple hours make me go crazy.
I turned off my audio completely
. Maybe overkill but my ears are too sensitive.

Same for me. It's a shame that in order to feel comfortable I've disabled all sounds.WalterG wrote: Sun Sep 20, 2026 9:00 am I came here looking for this. I enjoyed the roar of my factory for nearly 3500 hours already, but something was very off putting after the last update.
