Steam Frame certified!

Post by LongShot338 »

Factorio is featured as standalone certified on the Steam Frame homepage! I've played over 500 hours of Factorio on the steamdeck and my battery life is awesome. Although tricky to learn the trackpads make the controls very useable. I think the steam frame and steam controller will create an awesome Factorio experience.

Steam Frame is a new 3D VR google headset, right?

VR googles are not nouseating anymore? Especially when playing prolonged periods of time?
Anyway how you play 2D game in 3D VR googles?

VR Headsets display non-natively-supported games in a “Theater Screen”, which appears to be the same size as the room you are in. The effect is pretty similar to using a Projector Screen, without having dimmed room lights. With most games I have to take breaks to eat/drink before nausea becomes an issue, so long as the screen Framerate stays at/above 60fps.

I dont like it because the Headset itself has less pixel resolution than my 4K screens, so everything is harder-to-see despite appearing gigantic. Maybe the new Steam Frame is better - will have to try to find a demo unit!

Thanks for explanation. Sounds terrible and no fun. But maybe native 3D games are better on these devices. That Steam Frame have 144Hz or something, one would hope?
