Unable to pilot tank remotely

Hey Guys,
I recently came back to the game and tried remotely piloting a tank while on a different planet. It did not work like I remember it used to be.
Is there a specific prerequisite I am missing or is it currently just broken?
I gave my tank a roboport, an energy source, construction robots, fuel, ammo and some ressources to build new radars/ roboports. I am aware tanks go on strike as soon as they leave radar coverage but mine doesnt even want to start.
Should I be concerned that my tanks are unionizing? The factory must grow, I can't have my tanks not want to work anymore because I won't meet their demands.

Just checked and my tank is working normally when I say drive remotely. Are you using mods?

I am aware tanks go on strike as soon as they leave radar coverage but mine doesnt even want to start.

Are you definitely within radar coverage when you try to start driving the tank?

(Because if not, you won't be able to drive it until you first get radar coverage on it.)
