Once a circuit network is connected to an asteroid grabber and set filter is enabled; setting an output colour and enabling read contents populates the filter of the grabber.

Welcome on forums. So far you did not show any bugs. If asteroid collector outputs its content onto the same wire as it uses to set filters, that behavior is correct.
