SpaceAge constant combinator does not send "import from" flag

Don't know how to use a machine? Looking for efficient setups? Stuck in a mission?

SpaceAge constant combinator does not send "import from" flag

Post by Fendis »

Hi,

I would like to control the platform requests via circuit network.
I've set up a logistics group and use it in a constant combinator. That constant combinator is connected to the space platform hub.
The problem is, that the "import from" flag is not sent, only the items and the amount.

What I really want to do ist the following:
I want to have a space platform over nauvis, that is a hub for all items from other Planets.
To do this, I created a logistics group with items I want to import *only* from other space platforms but not from Nauvis.
The problem is: due to that (active) logistics group, it will not allow other space platforms to get items from this platform.
My idea was, to control the request by a timer, so it only requests it for 5 seconds before requesting nothing for another 5 seconds, to give other platform a chance to request items, but due to the fact, that the "import from" flag is not propagated, it will request items from Nauvis, which I don't want..

How can I achieve this?

Any help would be great.

Im having the exact same problem.
The active request from station is blocking the import/export vie the same plattform.

Only workaround i could think of is using the Planet as hub, so importing all the items onto the planet, put them in bufferchests so the active request of the planet hub doesnt block the export to the plattform, which has all the items you want to distribute as planet only import, so it can export to stations freely.
This obviously has alot of drawbacks and minor other rough edges.

Like it has been before also without the plattform trade: You produce uranium fuel on nauvis, ship it to a freighter, ship it to vulcanus bc you have the mainbase there. Vulcanus now wants both, to recieve uranium fuel but also distribute it to your other ships. Now you have a problem on the freighter that brings the uranium fuel to vulcanus, since the ship wants to request from vulcanus and vulcanus requesting from it.
Its basically a limitation on the logistic network, because there is only a drop feature.

Developement fix would be maybe, that there is a third setting in the logistic network. Rn we have 'request' and 'discard' (so for the orbital drops, drop everything above said number)
But we need one that says 'act as buffer above said limit'
Which like makes every item above that number accessible by the network, even if the general request is still active (Request 5k space plattforms, above 1k acessible to requests from others)

Note that there is no such blocking of exports on planets. Stuff in the planet's landing pad is fair game for requests from platforms, even if the landing pad is requesting those items.

The limitation is specifically for platforms.
