What happens?
Occasionally during gameplay, mouse clicks will register twice. The mouse-click sound plays twice. It happens once every 1-10 minutes, enough to be noticeable
This happens with:
- Queing crafting from the crafting menu: upon clicking a recipe icon once, two crafts will be queued.
- Attaching red/green wires: the 'wrong' sound will play as when you click the same entity twice while holding the red or green wire tool.
- Mass-moving inventory contents: when a machine UI is open, ctrl+clicking on an item stack in inventory, both it and the next stack will be transferred.
- Construction: when constructing buildings, the "cannot build, <building> is in the way" message shows when placing a building.
What do I expect?
That one mouse click equals one click event in the game.Workarounds?
Living with it: unqueuin crafts, being careful with inventory transfers, etc.Have I ruled out alternative explanations?
I am reasonably certain it is not a mod issue because it happens with numerous different configurations of mods, as well as only the base/vanilla game. It happens on multiple different saves.I am reasonably certain this is NOT an issue outside the game:
- It happens on two different mice.
- It happens on two different USB ports for the mice.
- It happens on two different computers running the same OS configuration.
- It happens on both steam install and a direct/standalone install of the game.
- It happens both on stable and experimental branch..
- I have inspected input event logs in my operating system which shows the OS only registers a single click event when the game registers two.
