Nothing in 10 months... sad. I always loved building long rail lines with farl since it was so much easier.

I like many others have been requesting the revival of FARL.

Recently, wanting it personally I ask CHAT GPT if it could update FARL so it works with a current version of Factorio. It claimed it could, I just needed to upload the last copy I have of it that worked before the Factorio update.

I followed its instructions and it produced a zip file which it told me to put in the mod folder. It didn't work needless to say.
I informed chat GPT of this and was given many things to check were in order. Its still not working.

I have no idea on how to code, so I cant do it that way. I' even tried to look up the original person who created FARL but with no joy.

So do we have any one who is making or editing mods that would be so kind to get FARL back up and running please.

In a fit of boredom, I spent an hour creating Fully Automated Rail Train for Factorio 2.0, using the latest version of FARL as a starting-point. Please note that while it is possible to load the Mod, place the FART entity in-game, and interact with the GUI, the main functionality does not work yet! I have categorized it as "internal" on the Mod Portal to prevent it from appearing in the default search for the time being.

Pull Requests will be welcomed on GitHub.

I spent the last couple of days working with Claude to update FARL for 2.0.

I haven't published it to the mod portal yet, but if want to test it and provide feedback....
