This produces a small Island, all resources apart from uranium on the Island, and no enemies on that Island.
A small amount of uranium is on a small island to the bottom left, but you will have to kill the spitter on a third island.
Increasing the uranium frequency to 300% will give a small patch of uranium on the main island.
Increasing the Fulgora Island scale and coverage to max gives a nice little drone accessible island, towards the bottom right.
Small Island, no enemies.

I like island maps, but I find that it makes later expansion very difficult. Many resource patches end up covered by water so you have to venture deep into biter territory to get more resources later in the game.

This, and it also gives a false sense of security. I start the game knowing I am on an island so I don't invest any research into military thinking I won't need it, then my initial iron patch runs out without another one in sight and I haven't so much as manufactured a single bullet. Now my options are either make a land bridge to one of the iron patches on a lone island (without bots to remove the landfill once I am done, I will quickly use my reserve stone just searching for such islands), or suffer a head-on confrontation with no equipment.wizcreations wrote: Sat Jul 25, 2026 2:37 am I like island maps, but I find that it makes later expansion very difficult. This isn't how everyone plays, but this would most certainly happen to me. I imagine a second iron patch on the starting island would be a life saver, or even a narrow land bridge to a biter infested area.

You might want to try making a slightly bigger starter island. My most recent play had 3 iron, 2 copper, 2 oil, way too much stone, and 1 uranium. Oil was the first I ran low on. I had a small number of biter bases, but they were easily managed. I left the planet without much difficulty and long before running out of resources.
