[2.1.13] Smart replace not working for underground belts and pipes

Smart replacing/flipping of pipes and belts seems to stopped working in 2.1.13

What did you do?

I want to replace standard belts or pipes with undergrounds but the smart flipping doesn't work. See attached picture for reference, hopefully this tries to show what happens.

What happened?

Using an underground belt or pipe on an existing regular belt or pipe replaces the current entity but doesn't give the smart suggestion to complete the underground. The smart flipping the underground and suggesting to delete the belts or pipes in between doesn't happen.
This still works if placing the underground on empty ground but not when replacing regular belts or pipes.

What did you expect to happen instead? It might be obvious to you, but do it anyway!
