[2.1.12] Crash trying to zoom in/out with trackpad (SDL_x11xinput2.c (584):X11_HandleXinput2Event)

When I attempt to zoom in / out, either in the map or just on my character, the game immediately crashes every single time. The interesting part is that it only crashes when I try to zoom in and out with the track pad, but it works totally fine with a mouse.

Running the game on Fedora Linux 42 with the basic space age mods:
Space Age
Recycler
Quality
Elevated Rails

Same to me. I also use a touchpad to play, but zooming with the touchpad doesn't cause a crash. For me, the error seems to trigger at very random times and can't be reliably reproduced.

Fedora Flatpak Steam version 2.1.12.
