Blueprint - Holding a key configures the absolute grid based on the area selected

Post by Gergely »

What?
Add a new input. Holding that input and selecting an area with a blueprint/copy/cut tool automatically configures the grid of the resulting blueprint to be based off of the dimensions of the selected area, (NOT the smallest rectangle that can contain the entitites!) and sets the relative and absolute positions so that the blueprint is placeable over the entities/tiles that were selected.
Why?
This would bring a stop to a lot of fiddling with the grid numbers as a configuration step of blueprints. During configuring the game always defaults to the smallest possible grid size which is very often not the desired one. (Rail blueprints...) This is an idea to sidestep that problem entirely: Most cases will just work. The notable exception is when the player wants some blueprint entities to be outside the grid rectangle. Turning the grid relative is one checkbox (or input press) away too.
