I tend to store BPs with many legendary buildings, and downgrade their ghosts with an upgrade planner -- for example when I've reached a mid-game state where legendary production hasn't kicked in yet.
The captive biter spawner seems to be one of the few buildings which is broken in the "From - To" columns.
