Mod List Presets

Post by sattelite009 »

TL;DR
The ability to quickly change the list of active mods using saved presets
What?
Adding an interface to the mod manager that allows you to save a list of active mods, enabling you to quickly switch between different saved mod presets.
Why?
Currently, if you install a mod, play around with it a bit, and decide you don’t like it, you have to manually delete all its components.
Let’s take an example: imagine I wanted to try out a large mod, such as Space Exploration or Pyanodon. I tried playing with it and didn’t like it. Now, to completely remove these mods, I need to not only delete the main mod but also all the components it required (and some components, in turn, also require other components, and so on). Moreover, if I have other mods installed (such as QoL), the whole process becomes a nightmare, since I have to manually search for all these components one by one.
With presets, I can save a list of active mods before installing Space Exploration, Pyanodon, or other mods, and if I want to go back, I can simply load the preset. All new mods will be disabled and will be easy to find and remove.
Presets will also allow players to play multiple mod collections simultaneously and switch between them quickly and easily.
