TL;DR
Display Panels need an alternate "Numeric Display" setting, that allows them to display the numeric value of a given variable, rather than static text. Possibly with some passive text as a prefix/suffix.
What?
Display Panels should have 2 modes, the current icon mode they have now, and a "numeric" mode, which simply displays a number.
Currently, displaying something like the number of items on a belt requires a separate condition for each number (eww!)
"Numeric" mode should display the number on the screen, rather than any icon.
Why?
Display Panels have very limited usefulness right now.
The new Else conditions on Combinators in 2.1 is GREAT, now Display Panels just need some love too!
